REPAIR & REFURBISHMENT

Repair and refurbishment of existing mechanical seals can often provide equivalent quality to new units, making it a more cost-effective option—particularly for high-value units e.g. cartridge seals.

We offer refurbishment services for most mechanical seals, whether our own, OEMS or competitors' products. A large range of spare parts are stocked for commonly replaced parts, allowing for quicker turnaround times. The refurbishment process restores mechanical seals to their as-new condition and are pressure-tested to ensure seal integrity. Each sealing application is unique, and during the refurbishment process we are able diagnose and advise on improvements e.g. material & elastomer selection which will improve the seals life-span in your specific application.

MANUFACTURE

Pump Seal Supplies is equipped with in-house facilities and machinery capable of manufacturing all carbon seal faces from your drawings or samples.

 

We use the same high-quality materials and tolerances that are found in original equipment manufacturer parts.

 

We can also insert the carbon seals in metal housings,

either machined by us or as a replacement in your

refurbished seal by heat shrink fitting.

LAPPING & POLISHING

Lapping services are also available separately for a wide range of materials used in mechanical seals including steels, alloys and carbides

Surfaces are lapped with special compounds on machinery capable of polishing up to 2 light bands. These are checked using an optical flat with a monochromatic light source to check surface finish and flatness
