O-ring mounted stationaries are preferred for their versatility in elastomer selection, as well as higher operating limits in housings with higher manufacturing tolerances.

For P and PB "block" seats, the o-ring is installed in a radial groove within the housing rather than in the stationary itself. The rear makes direct contact with the base of the housing recess, providing better heat transfer

and dissipation. Provision for an anti-

rotation pin is included via a rear slot, intended for use in specialised or viscous fluid applications.
