LKH-FSS replaces the flushed mechanical seals found in Alfa Laval® LKH hygienic centrifugal pumps.

 

The seal is front-loaded, with spring compression distance pre-set once impeller is reinstalled. A pin in the flush sleeve (available seperately) engages with a notch in the rotary face. A lip seal is installed on the outside of the ceramic-coated flush sleeve.

 

The left-hand threaded stationary is screwed into the backplate in an anti-clockwise direction and requires a special tool (not included). During disassembly, rotate clockwise.
