HGSL replaces the mechanical seals fitted to Grundfos S pumps (formerly Sarlin) ranges 50 - 78 with motor sizes up to 520kW.

 

Two seals are mounted in tandem to form a double seal. Seals are hydraulically balanced, either internally or for larger sizes, via a stepped shaft.

 

The lower seal stationary has a distinctive slotted profile that engages with the pump housing to provide anti-rotation. The 65mm size also has an extended tail for two o-rings, as per OEM.
