HGPD replaces the Type "A-" code component seals typically fitted to older Grundfos CR - Vertical Multistage pumps.

 

The unbalanced o-ring design was  originally introduced by Grundfos in the 1950s, featuring a rigid torque transmission design specifically for hard-face material pairings. Shaft and seal dimensions were made according to DIN 24960.

 

The spring cap has raised male "pins" that lock into a shaft connector.
