HFD is equivalent to the "Type 2" heavy duty double mechanical seals in Godwin Dri-Prime pump range.

 

The inboard seal features a wave-spring o-ring design and is set-screwed to the shaft. The stationary is of a monolithic clamped-in block-type design.

 

The outboard seal features a legged spring on both ends which provides positive torque to the outboard rotary face.
