H80/JB24 replaces the single mechanical seals fitted to Jabsco - Pureflo 24 Series Rotary Lobe pumps. Seals are mounted externally away from the product, into the rear of the rotor case.

 

The seal faces are energised by a wave spring, with set screws in the rotary component allowing bi-directional rotation.

 

Each pump requires two identical seals, one for each shaft.

Available in three face material combinations, indicated by the 7th position number in the pump’s code:

 

Code 8: (CAB)/316SS, pinned seat

Suitable for most general applications. Anti-rotation pin allows use in higher viscosity products.

 

Code 3: 316SS/CAB, unpinned seat

Alternative cost-effective option for clean fluids. Unpinned seat not suitable for higher viscosity products.

 

Code 2: TC/TC, pinned seat

Hard seal faces for abrasive fluids or where shedding of particles into fluid stream must be avoided. Not suitable for CIP steam-purging as seal faces can bind together.

 

Elastomers: NBR, Viton or EPDM

(_) refers to shrink-fitted

  • Flushed Seal

Parts are also used in flushed seal configuration. Codes: 9, 5 & 7. Flush seal only parts (i.e. lip seal) excluded.
