H740 is a mechanical seal designed to be mounted externally, such that no metal parts are in contact with the process fluid. It is set-screw driven and uses a multi-spring arrangement that ensures even face pressure.

 

The standard "LG" stationary is equivalent to industry standard "L" seat, designed to be used in "478" gland plates. However, the rotary can also be used to run against many other standardised stationaries.

 

The seal is supplied with removable setting clips (J) that pre-compress the springs, allowing the set-screws to be tightened to the correct position.
