H58B is a DIN EN 12756 compliant

mechanical seal for metric shafts,

based on the industry standard "Type

58B & 59B" designs. The multi-spring

design ensures even face pressure,

minimising face wear whilst also compensating for any shaft misalignment.

 

Originally designed to use a PTFE

wedge (H59B) as the secondary seal, improvements in o-ring materials have made the o-ring version (H58B) more common, due to ease of access and replaceability.

 

The multi-spring holes are ported to the rear, reducing the risk of spring

clogging from product build-up.

 

An additional rear pin hole allows two

units to be mounted back-to-back,

forming a double seal.
