H2US is a mechanical seal for imperial shafts, based on the historical industry "Type 2" design. It is commonly specified in confined space requirements with limited seal chamber depths.

 

A rubber diaphragm is secured to the shaft with a drive band, which serves as both a secondary seal and positive torque transmission.

 

Mechanical compression on the spring-cap is typically delivered by a shoulder in the shaft / sleeve or setting collar (available separately).
