Cup- or "boot"-mounted stationaries are preferred for their superior sealing contact with the housing surface. The ribbed elastomer profile provides improved performance when press-fitted, creating a tight, friction-based anti-rotation fit that is well-suited for pumps with wider manufacturing tolerances.
